Uncle Nearest 1884 Small Batch Whiskey is part of the Uncle Nearest brand, which honors Nathan “Nearest” Green, the African-American distiller who taught Jack Daniel how to make whiskey. The brand was founded in 2017 by Fawn Weaver and has grown into a prominent whiskey producer and tourism destination in Tennessee. The 1884 label is distilled, aged, and bottled entirely by Uncle Nearest, with each batch curated by Master Blender Victoria Eady Butler, who has been recognized as Master Blender of the Year multiple times.
