The Balvenie 16 Years French Oak is a Speyside single malt that undergoes 16 years of maturation, initially in American oak casks and then finished in French oak casks that previously held Pineau des Charentes, a fortified wine made from grape juice and Cognac, This cask finishing adds a unique layer of complexity and fruitiness to the whiskey
